Leadership Watch (LW) is a Non-Governmental Organization in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and works in partnership with many national and international institutions.
It is registered as a non-profit organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Nigeria. LW is also in Observer status with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and others.
Our vision and mission revolve around contributing innovatively to nation building by articulating and proffering solutions to problems confronting Nigeria and Africa, promoting leadership role models for sustainable democracy, growth and development, trade and investment promotion.
We empower serving and emerging leaders through research, documentation, conferences, seminars and trainings including ICT education.
LW seeks to influence and hold leaders accountable, strengthen their competencies and enhance their skills for effective delivery on the expectations and priorities of the people in a globalizing world.
Leadership Watch's global engagement includes promoting principles covering human rights, labour standards, environmental responsibility and anti-corruption.
Support and respect internationally proclaimed human rights and avoid complicity in abuses.
Uphold freedom of association and collective bargaining, eliminate forced labour and child labour, and avoid discrimination.
Support a precautionary approach, promote environmental responsibility and encourage environmentally friendly technologies.
Work against corruption in all forms, including extortion and bribery.
